News from the Top End

Hi Everyone

Slowly getting the hang of the new job. Flew out to Ngukurr on Tuesday and then Minyerri and Ngukurr again on Thursday. Not a very big plane so it was a litle bumpy coming back in the afternoons. When I am out there I advise the teachers on the courses that we can offer at NTOEC and try and work around what other things they have planned eg VET courses.

It was great having Will here for two weeks. We didn't do a whole lot of exciting things but he was just happy hanging out or chillaxing as he calls it. Went fishing and had a great day but didn't get anything.

Next week will be mostly in the office though I think I will be going to Barunga and Wugularr (Beswick). Tonight I am going out to a formal dinner celebrating 20 years of Goup Training in the NT and tomorrow I have told Joe I would give him a hand to lay concrete. Don't know what condition I'll be in for that.

Cheers Marty and Claire

Here are some of the photos I had put on earlier.
A quiet afternoon before the evening /night party.A radiant Kate enjoying Annie's Christmas gifts. A welltanned Moo after her "road trip".
Mum and I soon got them back to earth. They have organised the carpeting of the house. The carpet has been chosen, the house measured and the dates set for the job -March 6 and 9. The break over the week-end gives us the chance to clear rooms of furniture and return it.
Now we put the boat on the market!
Cunjurong here we come!
Love to All. Dad.
I have spent 2 hours putting on a heap of photos.
The computer put a big red line on top telling me I had an ERROR.
I can't find out what I have to do to correct it.
You will have to imagine them.
See you all at Cunjurong. Dad

chat from the southcoast

Hi all,
A very wet and cool saturday arvo here. Hasi and Jules are at the pub for some pool, while moo and I are surfing the net, and getting cosy for Dr Who.
Moo and Jules travel plans have been delayed because of the weather, which is great for me because I love them hanging out with us.
So thats it really.
Cheers for now, Zak

from the hot capital

Hi all. Is 40.6deg. here. Our fifteenth day of over 30Deg. I am over it. Marty, I don't know how you do it! Cooling is the best money we ever spent. Have been leaving it on for most of the night the past week. All back at school. Pretty horrible at school in this weather, even in air conditioning. I still have to walk between buildings and drive between campuses! I have 30 students in my music classes. I don't even have enough desks! Lucy enjoying year 11. Clare enjoying year 9. Stephen enjoying his 22 degrees air condioned computer rooms. That's about it, hoping for cooler weather this week. See you all. Annie

Greetings from the North Coast

Hi All
Jules and I post this from Coffs Harbour. Stayed in a cabin here last night. Trying to get in touch with Linda Ward today before we continue on south.
Had a great night with Ange last Thursday, then two nights in Bathurst with Re & Kev before atrip over to Merriwa to catch up with Terry and Kay - they haven't changed a bit. Even had a run out to Hebuterne to see the changes there. Terry & Kay send their greetings to all.
Shall continue on our travels now.
Love Moo & Jules xxxx
