news from the capital

What a great weekend we had in Cunjurong!! Thanks girls! We went via the nerriga road. Much better than going down that awful clyde and took and over an hour off the trip. A bit of bush bashing, but the mighty commodore handled it- there's life in the old girl yet!! Glorious day on saturday lots of champagne drunk. Moo. I hope your camera survived the dunking, some great photos on there. Clare got her learner's permit today- another driver in the family. Only two weeks left of holidays- they have gone way too fast. hopefully not to soon till we are back in Cunjurong!

Darwin in the Wet

Hi All

Some photos.

A shower of rain that happens most days during the wet.

A trip to Manton Dam with Joe Mob. We cooked breakfast though that was a bit of a mission because it is the wet season and so all the wood was wet. Then people took turns to paddle about on the kayaks. (only freshwater crocs live here)

Buddy and I digging up a stump.

Claire on Manton Dam from another excursion we had down there a couple of weeks ago.

On Friday Will and his girlfriend Lily arrived from Alice which was a great surprise. They head back tomorrow because he has to go back to work on Tuesday but he is back up for trade school in a couple of weeks.
No fishing because even though it is sunny outside at the moment it will probably be pouring rain by lunchtime. The rain is not so much of a problem as the lightning.
Will try and take a few more photos over the next couple of weeks so you can see how wonderful it is here during the wet.
