greetings from the south coast
Hi all,
We were at Cunjurong last weekend. absolutely gorgeous as always. we are so lucky. Even Hasi took a dip in the sea, much to my amazement. The water is still fantastic.
Im just listening to the news, how depressing.I really dont think its good for your mental health to watch the news every night.
Thinking of cunj and look what I found!! Could it be true that these photos are from 2007?? 5years ago??
Love to you all, Zak

News from the capital
Steve and I had a lovely day in Wagga today with Lucy. Unfortunately Clare couldn't come, her friend Emma was celebrating her 18th birthday-so she went paintballing- only ended up with two bruises! Anyway, Steve and I took Lucy to lunch and we had a walk around the park in Wagga. Then we decided to try and find the winery at Charles Sturt- Lucy had no idea where it was, so we drove around for a while until we found it. We drove back another way- and discovered the cellar door for the winery is about 500 metres from Lucy's cottage! It was a beautiful day for a drive and also was lovely in Wagga. We took Carmel's car, which as Steve says 'goes like stink'! Lucy will be home in about three weeks and she has about four or five weeks off- oh the life of a uni student!! Nothing much else is happening I am busy with musical rehearsals- at school till 5pm three days each week, and most of my lunchtimes spent with rehearsals- I am a glutton for punishment! However this year I am very happy with my musical band- we are sounding really great- and I have three ex-students coming back to join us. So this year I won't be losing sleep over the band- instead I am worrying about how many songs I have to teach the kids. Anyway that's about all, Kate I hope you enjoyed Cunj this weekend- am very jealous.

greetings from the south coast
Hi all,
Moo, I love the slab in the kitchen. It really was a great idea. You get the words in order with the picture- very good. Here's a pic from our last travels Moo, how much fun did we have. Next time we really are going to Morocco. I have to keep practising, so I dont forget how to do it.
Hope everyone is well and happy,
Love Zak

Welsh Greetings
Hi All,
Great photos. They are fantastic wellies Clare.
Seem to have recovered from my illness finaaly. It certainly took some time.
Had a lovely 5days away last week in New Quay West Wales. Fabulous!
Weather was not brilliant but we managed to enjoy ourselves. not good op shopping in Aberystwyth but the Cardigan shops always have something.
Returned home Friday. Had dinner out with six other lovely ladies which was most enjoyable.
Finally returned to work on Sat, Sun and Mon. Tuesday off to play darts of course. Have lost our last two games but only by one point each time. Only one gane left in this half of the season.
Spoke to Maria last week (it was her birthday). She, Kevin and Jerome will be with us in Wales in September. Greatly looking forward to their visit.
Finally managed to get photos to upload. Hooray!
Will try some more next time but have to sign off now to get to work.
Love to all. xxxxxxxx

Kate's here
Hi All
Kate has called on Monday because Genevieve visited the Illawarra on Friday. We want to put a few photos on and, like me, she has difficulties putting them on so we're doing it together. Then she can tell you the story.
Gen and I had a great day on Saturday, scouring the op shops of the Illawarra, and also a few of my favourite other shops. We both got some bargains, Gen mostly. As we sat around the fire on Friday night, Bridge spoke to us from the deep south. Amazing, sounded like she was just down the street.
Hopefully, I can now put photos on the blog. I will try at home in the next few days, then you may all be sorry, when I start sending heaps of pottery and garden shoots. The chook pictured is Milly, one of Bridge's we are looking after for her. When she came to us, her arse was red raw, no feathers, she was pretty scungy. We have just emailed this shoot to Bridge, so I hope she's impressed.
Time for lunch. Mum and dad are fit and well.
Love to you all, Zak

greetings from the coast
Hi all,
I will just say hi, to keep the blog rolling along.Annie you will be glad to know there is a bottle shop about 5 minutes walk away from Mart and Claire,s place so Claire doesnt have to start stock piling.
The womens fellowship of the pots went on an excursion to an amazing ceramic exhibition last night in Port Kembla. 3 local women potters were exhibiting, very beautiful stuff, and very inspiring for us beginners.
I have finally been allowed to "try" to make a teapot, by my potting guru, Ms Chell Jones. She has lent me a book on the hows and whys of teapot making. I am overwhelmed, and now realise why I had to wait till I had a decent amount of knowledge and experience with clay. I will never look at a teapot in the same way again. One of the exhibiters last night, has indeed perfected the art of teapot making, and it was beautiful to behold!!
Tonght Genevieve (aka Evie Chesterfield) is heading to the Illawarra, if she can still stand, after a very hectic week at the Mercedes Fashion Week in sydney. I will plan an itinerary today, so we can squeeze in as many of the best Illawarra op shops as we can tomorrow. Also it is national garage sale weekend this weekend, as Im sure you are aware Mart, so it will be double the action. Reminder to myself-put roof racks and trailer on car!! For those interested there should be a register on line of addresses partaking in the garage sale scheme. Its all about recycling so get out there and save the world for your grandkids to come. As I dont have to worry about that angle, I'll just do it for the fun of it!!
Love to you all. Its going to be a fun weekend.
P.S. Mum dont forget what you have to do.
Love Zak
