news from the capital
Well Lucy is finally at uni!! Steve and I took her down on Saturday and checked her in then checked out her accomodation. She is in a cottage of eight rooms four at either end with a bathroom at each end. In the middle is a common room with a TV. Her cottage is in a great position- next to the shop, about 50 metres away from the pool and gym and about 100 metres away from the dining halls. There is a great support system in place for the students who live on- campus- don't worry Mum she is in a very safe environment with security 24/7! We had dinner with Lucy at the uni on Saturday night- roast beef and vegies in the dining halls. Yep, they fed everyone! (Staggered of course). Steve and I stayed the night in Wagga- it was a good thing we did as we were both asleep by 9.30pm. We arrived home Sunday around 2.30pm after picking Clare up from Steve's sister's Clare where she stayed Saturday night. School is good this year- much better than last year- I don't have a SOSE class. YAY!!! Am busy planning musical at the moment- trying to work out rehearsals- too much on after school for me to fit in everything I need to do. Am very excited about coming to Darwin with Kate to see you Marty and Claire!! Claire- better start stocking up on the champagne now! that's about all our news. Hope everyone is well. love you all, Annie

greetings from the south coast
Hi everyone,
At long last we have had 4 consecutive days of sun and no rain!!! This is sounding like the summer we know and love. Ive been able to get a walk and swim in most evenings this week, its awesome.
Had a great weekend in Canberra last weekend. Went to a multicultural festival on the saturday, and ate amazing food from all over the world. Annie and I had some kava with the fijian men while Steve tried a few international beers. I found the best shoeshop, which I belted Annie for never having told me about this before. Moo it has fly shoes, I thought I was in shoe heaven! Im going back for sure. Red patent leather knee high boots, purple suede wedge lace up boots, I feel giddy just remembering.
Sunday I went to the Renaissance exhibition, which was gorgeous, and in between I hung out with my beautiful nieces, which is one of my all time favourite things to do.
Annie and I have a plan to fly up to Darwin in October and hang out with Mart and Claire. Im just waiting for my leave to be approved, then we can buy our tickets!! (interested Moo??)
Im with mum and dad today, pottering in the garden, pruning, moving things around, re-cementing broken garden statues.
Ive got a weekend workshop this weekend making primitive pots. Should be fun. The garden is a jungle, but no time for that this weekend.
Lunchtime, so that's all from me.
Love to you all, Zak

Holidays are over
Hi All
Thank you all for the 12 months of FOX.
It has been great especially for the Sport - particularly the Racing Channels. It has a great recording function which means one need never be interrupted in watching one's favourite programmes. Joan has selected a few programmes which we record and enjoy during her limited viewing time
Despite the unusually wet Sydney summer weather, the festve season was busy. It was the first Christmas Joan and I have spent alone; and what a lovely quiet day we had cutting and enjoying the usual Christmas pudding.
Boxing Day, Kate drove us to Glenbrook to have a great lunch, exchange presents and a night stop over with Jack, Fran and the boys. Would you believe! I forget to take the camera so pictorial evidence is not available. The following day Jack drove us to Wentworth Falls where we caught up with many of the Ron Isos - again no pictorial record.
The Test was a classic.
Annie Steve and the Girls graced us for a week-end when the Glenbrook and Woonoona troops swapped presents of which I do have a pictorial record. Annie stayed on a few extra days and feted us with her culinary delights.
Mark and Anne Worhthington dropped in, stayed a night, left the car and stayed another night on thir return from a visit to Dom in Brisbane.
Kate has paid her usual weekly visits, Aunty Kate, Friz and Moira have visited and arranged a few days at Cunjurong before Easter.
Marty and Moo have been in regular contact.
All in all the six weeks have been very relaxing and enjoyable.
I'll post a couple of pictures so you can savour the enjoyment we garner in family.
Have a great 2012!
Love Dad/Tjilpi/Old Man/Kev.
