greetings from the south coast

Hi all,
Very glad to hear you guys in the tropics are safe and well. Yep, I am a big believer in not having big trees near houses if avoidable. I feel so much safer lying in bed listening to a howling southerly and knowing the old palm tree wont flatten the car then flatten me when it falls, since we have had it cut down.

We are starting to feel like the tropics have moved south over the last few weeks. The humidity is up, and you are sure its going to rain, but it just keeps brewing up. at least the sun is out today, and the sea is only a stones throw away, and we can take a dip, fairly sure we will exit the water with all limbs in tact. I know you will say what about the sharks, but usually we are not out far enough for it to be a threat.

Im happy because I have taken a week of work, to have to myself, potter round the house, and hang out at the beach. Sure the inevitable trip to the dentist for two fillings is booked, but other than that, Im free.

I bought a great old glass panelled door from the demolition yard last weekend, so today Hasi will help me hang it on the brick shed.
